Historian Cameron Thorne uncovers Civil War era letters that reveal a centuries-long plot by leading New England shipping families to splinter the Union. With close ties to both Freemasonry and Yale's Skull and Bones Society, these so-called Essex Junta families made their money selling opium to China and used their power to foment discord between the North and South, sparking the Civil War.
Astoundingly, that was not enough: Cam finds historical sources revealing that the families orchestrated World Wars I and II to solidify their power and bring about a New World Order. When Cam unearths evidence indicating they plan to trigger World War III as their final power play, he knows he has no choice but to expose them, even if doing so puts himself, and those he loves, in grave danger. This book, like the others in the series, is "faction”—truth based in fiction.
It is footnoted and illustrated.Publishers Weekly says of the author, "BRODY DOES A TERRIFIC JOB OF WRAPPING HIS RESEARCH IN A FAST-PACED THRILL RIDE."This is a stand-alone novel with recurring characters. The books in this series can be read in any order.
