The nine had been arrested for their ‘alleged’ complicity in the death of the woman, and held overnight. They walked out of the courtroom this afternoon with smirks, their haughty mothers in tow, having been granted bail by this activist judge.
Some would of course approve; many would not.
The old man now knew who they were… and where they lived. All nine of them.
He could not anticipate the far-reaching implications that knowledge held in store.
